Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27 (NIV)

Travel Preparations

It is crazy all the things that go through your mind as you prepare to travel halfway around the world.  Leaving our six children to meet our next child.  We have done all we can to prepare the kids.  Ours being a little older than some helps.  We have a good friend who has volunteered to step in an be with our kids.  We are so thankful for her.  They are in good hands and will be well cared for.

Trying to remember and make sure we have everything.  It will only be a week.  This trip we just meet Sam and accept his referral.  We will go back sometime in the fall for court and after that we will get to bring him home.  Leaving him there this trip will be the most difficult thing.  Pray for peace for us.  We are excited, nervous, feeling a little crazy...but I am sure these are all normal emotions.

Thanks for your prayers and please feel free to share scripture that will encourage us in the comments.

  2. I lift my eyes up to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and creator of earth. He will not let your foot slip. He who watches over you will not slumber; Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand; The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm - He will watch over your life; The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Psalm 121

    Praying for your travel today!

  4. My all time favorite bible verse, a reminder that Love does win. "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." John 16:33
Love you friend. Give sweet Sam a smooch from ME!
