We arrived here on Tuesday. Our facilitator had been able to do some of our paperwork on Tuesday including picking up the court decree and his new birth certificate. On Wednesday, my kids and I went with our facilitator to the suburb where his orphanage is and dropped off and picked up paperwork at the district social workers office and the orphanage. We were told that we would not get to see Alex. As we waited for some paperwork just outside of his room, someone offered to bring him out for a brief visit. My teens were thrilled. It was brief, maybe 5 minutes, but it was enough to get them even more excited about their new brother.
My teens, Aiden, 16, and Analese, 14, have been amazing with him. On Friday, our facilitator and I spent the whole day finishing up the things we needed to do to get him home. The main thing we did was apply for his passport. Aiden and Analese spent the whole day at the apartment with their new brother and did great with him.
His passport will take 5 business days to process, so it won't be ready until next Friday. We will leave for Moscow on Sunday. In Moscow, we will go through the immigration process at the US Embassy. We are scheduled to arrive home on Friday, November 4th. If things go quicker, we may be home a day or two sooner.
He likes his bath.
And he is just generally a good natured little boy.
His favorite toy is a hangar he can dangle and swing back and forth on his thumb.
And he is very flexible.
Yes, he is sound asleep.

More happy tears for you! Love all the pictures!
