Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27 (NIV)

No Word Yet

I have to say, God is teaching me many things through this adoption process.  One of those things is patience.  Becoming better fruit bearers.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

Our documents are in Sam's country and were supposed to be submitted to the "committee" this past Monday.  We have not received word whether or not they were submitted so we just WAIT.

Waiting is a huge part of this process.  We hurry around, get things completed, send them in and wait.

The LORD favors those who fear Him, Those who wait for His lovingkindness. Psalm 147:11

Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles,They will run and not get tired,They will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:31

We so look forward to the day that we meet this little boy.  To the day we can touch him, hold him, love him, and let him know he has a family. But we wait, trusting in the Lord and His perfect timing and we will continue to put one foot in front of the other in the process of bringing this little boy home.

  1. You learn how much of a virtue patience really is when you go through this process. And I'll tell ya what...it's a good thing because when they get home... yowee, these kids stubborn little tykes. Hee hee.
