Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27 (NIV)

What Now?

I am sure many of you are wondering "What Now"?  What do we do next in the process?

Now after meeting our son, we wait for a court date. But one won't be issued yet.  We have another big pile of documents to pull together to send to Sam's country, before we can be issued a court date.

You may be wondering "Why hasn't she already got these documents together?"  There is a good reason for that.  Many of these documents are time sensitive.  They have to be "new" because some of them are only good for 3 months in Sam's country.

The judge is on vacation until September 5th, so no court dates will be issued until she is back.  Therefore, we are compiling documents and our goal is to have them ready to send to our agency on August 5th.  From there they will be processed and sent to Sam's country where they will be translated and made ready for submission on September 5th.  After the judge's assistant processes them and everything is in good order and no other documents are required, only then will a court date be issued.  We are praying for a court date in October.  We can hardly wait to see our little guy again and we are really excited to bring him home.

Thanks for your prayers.  In the meantime, we continue to stare at all the pictures and videos that we took.  Oh how we miss this little guy.

  3. He is adorable! I know the waiting is torture, but maybe you can come over sometime after all the paperwork is turned in. I would love to get in a visit before your life gets super busy (in a good way!)
